I am Moksheda, a new student at Clinton School. I am from Nepal. I am so glad you are working in Nepal, especially with Women. Nepali women are special. Before the conflict in Nepal, most women relied on men, However all the hardships people have faced during and after the conflict have changed the way people think. Especially women, as many male members in the villages were either killed or left the country so women had to take care of themselves and their kids.

My mom and me have saved many different dogs and cats that I have found, so to read this is really cool. We like to call ourselves a "team", I find bring them home, and she provides the housing. We currently have three rescue animals (what we call them), that couldnt be more important to us, two dogs Rosie and Shadow A.k.a little boy, and Angel, a 14yr old cat. I found Shadow about 3 months ago, stuck standing on the Pine/Cedar exit ramp with a little peice of paper napkin stuck to his beard. He definitely has Schnauzer and something else in his blood :) He was in bad shape when we got him, and timid, but now he is confident and has a a great new life. Rosie is part lab/husky and we got her in 2001, and the cat moved in when he was a juvenile. My friends know me as the dog saver, informally.Great idea.

Dear Julie, let me (Victor Wildeman 'the old man' left most on the picture) first state on behalf of the APP Uganda staff that we miss you. We look forward to your Needs Assessment Report, enabling us to better serve people in prison. Thank you for your blog telling people in the USA about our work in and around prisons in Africa. We hope you tell people over there as well about the positive atmosphere and cooperation of people in prison to improve their current situation in prison. Despite the bombs-attack to Kampala, which forced you to leave, we hope you will look back at a good internship and hope you will remember us as people trying to make the world a little better.
